Lindelof is such a team player. He didn’t want Mings to feel like the only centre back who could give the ball away cheaply 🤝

@jacobtanswell.bsky.socialSo there is an argument for Manzambi and Jackson to just stay up front and occupy the CBs, as there's a big hole between them and their CMs for Buendia and McGinn to roam. #AVFC
@koalatovmocktail.bsky.socialStill not used to Matty Cash with the short hair. It’s almost like over the summer he’s gone from 1999 David Beckham to 2000 David Beckham.
@jacobtanswell.bsky.socialReally important #AVFC hit back straight away as Brentford can revert to sitting in a compact block when with something to protect - see their victory here last year. Really good intensity to the game
@johntownley.bsky.socialGOAL: JACKSSON! Villa's striker equalises just moments after Yehor Yarmolyuk's opener.
#AVFC 1-1 Brentford
@johntownley.bsky.socialGOAL: Yehor Yarmolyuk opens the scoring for Brentford. Tyrone Mings gives the ball away under pressure, and Villa fail to deal with the resulting cross. The ball falls to Yarmolyuk to score.
#AVFC 0-1 Brentford

@talkvilla.bsky.socialNicooooo!!!
What a response! Really soft goal to concede (poor from Mings to start it), but immediate response. Great play from Nicolas Jackson, alert to the deflected effort and composed finish to bring us back into it.
1-1, 12'
@jacobtanswell.bsky.social#AVFC hit back immediately through Jackson. Brentford's goal had come from them showing the ball to Mings since the first goal kick and continuing to do so out of possession. Mings' pass then intercepted and Brentford attack down the right.
@avfcstatto.bsky.socialNICOLAS JACKSON YOU BEAUTY
@notawelshsinger.bsky.socialGlad I found a stream, this is end to end! Terrible from Tyrone. Well played Jackson. More goals in this for sure #avfc

@koalatovmocktail.bsky.socialWhat a reply from Villa and from Jackson! Such a well placed strike…
@pardzavfc.bsky.socialNicholas Jackson, that's what #avfc !!!
@jasethevillain.bsky.social@pardzavfc.bsky.socialBloody hell. That was classic Tyrone Mings. Now what? #avfc
@soddyod.bsky.socialFfs #AVFC
@dvtavfc.bsky.socialGood work from Manzambi to buy the foul there #AVFC
