Apparently one episode a week of #Ash isn’t enough hot gangster/undercover agent C-drama action for me. So I’ve started #KissOrKill. Who else is watching?

Yes, I think it would have been more believable if they’d stuck at 3 months or so. Leuk To’s marriage still hasn’t happened, and he shouldn’t still be in the early stages of desperation like that (dishevelled, drunk all day, etc) if a whole year has passed. It seemed like a silly detail. #Ash

I actually wish they’d shown us more of Leuk To’s desperation over that year apart - first searching fruitlessly then sliding into an alcoholic “fuck everything” haze. (Although how he kept his 🔥🔥 fine body in such a slump is a BL miracle! 😉) #Ash

Oh yes. That was extremely cutting. I could see it was coming, though, from the moment the Eastern Hall uncles were telling the boss lady they didn’t trust Fei Foon and she needed to ensure his cooperation further. I could just smell fake marriage. #Ash

Leuk To gripping so hard while his mind was 🤯🤯 when he saw Fei Foon. Fei Foon having to remain so nonchalant all the while, but he knows he’s on a knife edge with deadly danger on all sides. That part was 👌👌. #Ash

I had to stop #SCI because I was watching it literally while there were police quelling democracy people in HK. It felt too frivolous for me in that moment. But I’m currently obsessed by a Hong Kong-based BL drama about a police officer so 🤷‍♀️. (They also speak in Cantonese in #Ash, which is nice.)

On the BL front, there’s quite a bit of #Nour, #Summertime and #Ash chat. But not on a daily basis. I think the main ongoing C-drama discussion is starting up about #AgainstTheCurrent. (I know you don’t like Tan Songyun, though, so I imagine you won’t watch it.)

Now we just have you hope that (1) the drama sticks its landing; and (2) Youku decide #Ash was enough of a success, so they green light more BL productions. (Preferably with a returning Kingston/Leo CP so we can luxuriate in them being all 🔥❤️‍🔥😘 again.)

Yes, I think they perhaps luxuriated in giving us too much Fei Foon and Leuk To as a couple in the earlier eps, and now there’s not much time and a lot of plot still left to cover. It’s hard because I enjoyed all that 🔥❤️‍🔥😘 but I feel like we hardly know any other (important) characters at all. #Ash
