Goodly morning!
When FIFA announces its new Ballard D’Or nominations, will the focus be on Best Acting to Deceive (ala Bruno F v Foden) or specifically on judo takedown moves, honoring its namesake? #arsecastextra @gunnerblog.bsky.social

Goodly morning. Do you think running Havertz into the ground rather than trust Gyokeres for 10 mins a good strategy? I understand when you are only a goal ahead but I think you should be able to trust him for 10-15 mins.

Goodly morning gents. We have a set piece coach in Jover, and a defence coach in Heinze, but is it time we brought in a SHOOTING coach?

Hey guys, simple question this week. Raya is Arsenal’s best/most important player, agree or disagree??? Side question is Unai Simon the best goalkeeper of all time? lol #arsecastextra @arseblog.com @gunnerblog.bsky.social

question for @gunnerblog.bsky.social: What other parallels do you see between Bruno and Xhaka? And is this finally the answer to the left 8 question since Xhaka left, or is who plays on which side irrelevant with Rice and Bruno? #arsecastextra

How do you get to be a flag bearer at the Emirates behind the goal? You are paid to watch the game unlike a steward, fantastic view. I’d like that gig! #arsecastextra

@arseblog.com @gunnerblog.bsky.social #arsecastextra how are we feeling about Eze on the left wing? I don’t see how it fits with the style. And I can’t see the relationship building between him and other players in those actions.

Goodly morning gents.

With attention turning to our first Carabao game on Tuesday, will we see Raya rested after such an immense performance? Playing a back up keeper cost us last year in this tournament, and Arteta’s headspace seems more ruthless than this time last year.

Why the hell do the new throw-in rules apply to “regular” throw-ins and not “routine long throw setups?” Why is the league trying to stamp out 7 second throw-ins when teams are taking 50+ for a long throw? Am I an idiot for thinking that the takeaway last year was long throw = bad? #arsecastextra

Goodly morning gents.

Max Dowman was in the u21s this week instead of the first team squad. Is this giving him a warm up before a potential start vs Ipswich on Tuesday, or is he just that low in the pecking order? If that is the case, how long will he/his camp put up with it?

Are the refs getting worse or have they always been this shit and endless replays from every angle, along with VAR errors, are highlighting their mistakes/incompetence more? #arsecastextra

Did the lack of an additional attacking signing overshadow the Bruno G and Konsa signings? Both were considered “overpays” but we’ve already seen their importance. Bruno showing the progressive passing from the midfield and Konsa showing why we needed an additional CB w/ Saliba out #arsecastextra

Without getting too ahead of ourselves (4 games in, etc), do you think that Arteta's next ambition is to reach that sense of inevitability we felt about Pep's City & sometimes Klopp's Liverpool? If so, how close could we be to achieving it?

#arsecastextra

@gunnerblog.bsky.social have you seen the guy on TikTok who is running a mile for every goal that Spurs score in the league? He’s been stood outside his house for weeks! Genuinely! Is it too early for some ‘dezerbiout’? #arsecastextra

VAR, huh, yeah
what is it good for?

#arsecastextra

During World Cup, it seemed that the refs enjoyed their post-VAR dramatic announcements, especially if sending someone off. Silent English refs only point. Might we get better calls by playing to their giant egos & giving them this dramatic moment?

Why can't we keep 2 fit RB's, are we cursed???
I'd happily sacrifice Noni to the injury gods, if it meant we could keep Ben White and Timber fit and allow them to properly rotate throughout the season

How fast to you think Foden was going after his red card to get all the way to the VAR centre to influence that call? @gunnerblog.bsky.social #arsecastextra

Last season, the Carabao Cup Final felt a game too many at the very worst time. But, considering the number of players we need to keep happy and to maintain fitness+sharpness, what's the role of the competition for us this year? Is an early exit a failure?
