IN CROW’S DREAM - EXT. PINE FOREST - NIGHT
Deep snow on a wooded hillside, Crow’s breath hangs frozen.
The sound of rushing water. Somewhere down there is a river.

Black feathers in the snow. Crow looks closer at...
... a raven. Smaller in death. Eyes open and unseeing. Talons
curled tight, holding on to nothing.

The raven opens its broken beak.

BACK TO SCENE
Crow startles awake - looks sharply over at Tori’s bed. But
she’s not there - just a note on her pillow. Crow reads it.

EXT. MADISON AND EMMA'S CARAVAN - DAY
Sweat beads on Tori’s forehead. She descends the hill,
adjusts her backpack and KNOCKS on the door.

TORI
Madison? Sorry! I know it’s early -

JOE (O.S.)
- You’re late.

Clumsy, Tori wheels around to see Joe on his electric quad
bike. He spots her backpack.

JOE
Leaving? Figures. Where’s Crow?

TORI
Back at the -

JOE
- ‘Cos he should be at work.

Tori's face gives Crow away.

JOE
Still getting his beauty sleep?
Doing his make-up?

Joe grins, his mask slipping. Tori knows that look.

JOE
I’ll soon sort him out. Well go on.
Off you trot. Don’t miss the bus.

He accelerates downhill. Tori tries the caravan door. Locked.

Torn, she glances back up the hill - and hightails it,
straight back the way she came.

int. GAS STATION - basement - daY

Percy sits at his desk. He sips from a Garfield mug of blood and watches a FAMILY gas up a minivan on the security screen.

He still wears his gloves and heavy clothing, but his head covering and glasses are done so he can enjoy his snack.

Heavy footsteps approach from the darkness.

PERCY

Bathroom is for paying customers!

Silas emerges from the shadows, too tall for the low ceiling.

SILAS

I see your looks haven't improved since my last visit.

PERCY

And neither have your manners. You ever hear of a door, fucker?

This gets Silas to smile, but only briefly. He observes the dank walls, the moldy floor, Food Source slumped in the corner in the dentist's chair with a sigh.

SILAS

I don't know why you choose to live like this; like a cockroach under a rock.

PERCY

Don't go yucking my yum! Besides, when it's all said and done-- war, famine, goddamn nuclear winter-- the only ones that are gonna be left are the cockroaches. Makes you think.

He sips his blood, then holds his mug out to Silas.

PERCY

Where are my manners, want a glass?

SILAS

I didn't come here to drink your disgusting, stale blood. Against my better judgement, I've come to ask a favor.

When Alex finds out he is in fact the last starfighter and he and Grig will face the Ko-Dan Armada alone is as thrilling and fun on the page as it is on-screen.
