First birds of my day: a quartet of Magpie rattling repeatedly as they flew back and forth above my head in the cloudy sky.

Good Morning Bluesky Folks!

A Few days ago while walking around a Lake I came across a Great cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo)
And Photographed it with my Canon EOS R50!

#Birds🪶 #NaturePhotography #PhotographersOfBlueSky #NatureLover #UKBirding #WildlifePhotograph #Canon50

A cormorant stands perched on a wooden branch extending horizontally over dark, calm water.
Key details in the image include:
The Bird: The cormorant has dark brownish-black plumage with a subtle, scale-like pattern on its wings. Its head is turned to the right in profile, revealing a bright yellow gular patch at the base of its hooked bill, a vivid blue-green eye, and a long, stiff tail hanging down toward the water surface.
Environment: Overhanging tree branches with green foliage frame the upper-left and right portions of the shot. The deep green water below has gentle ripples, giving the scene a peaceful, natural setting.

Went into the kitchen to make a cup of tea, and was absolutely astonished to see this outside the window! Never had a Tawny Owl in the garden before. Stayed long enough for me to run upstairs and get my camera #UKBirding #norfolkbirding #birds
