The NTP has confirmed three tornadoes near the Ontario / Quebec border with storms on August 29. The two Ontario tornadoes in the Mattawa area caused EF2 tree damage while the Quebec tornado at Lac Kennedy resulted in EF1 tree damage.

Once this mess of unsettled weather leaves later today for SONT, the week ahead look's cooler, drier, more stable, less clouds, cool mornings, very comfortable daytime high temps. Looks to be a very nice week in front of us. #onwx #onstorm

So I look at my script for the NBM, made some quick changes (way too fast-needs some tweaking) and here's Radar 4cast super blend (see previous post) and added cloud cover (50% and up) 4cast for laughs-out to Monday Midnight. #onwx #onstorm

May start using the NBM, or add it, the NBM does predictive radar differently by merging & weighting data from over 30 different models, an advanced, calibrated "super-blend" radar simulation. Not as sharp/well define as others, more muted. #onwx #onstorm (from now till 8AM Sun)

Saw this old, maybe 250 year old, #tree that came down in #Toronto near Roncesvalles and HIgh Park.

It was a far more destructive storm that happened 2 weeks ago, than people think. #ONStorm #climateChange

I left a coffee cup for scale.

This tree was probably as old as Canada.

-to save time after a long day, took the latest radar, held it, then advanced the most current HRRR radar advanced it till 3pm Sat. The complex of showers/storms weakens overnight before it enters into SONT. We'll have to wait for the 2nd impulse-Sat/nite into Sun. #onwx #onstorm
