Patina on the statue didn't want to be whittled away. You could feel it, but that was the job. To remove the stains, the statue's surface was essentially re-fabricated. It was downright arcane.
'Best example of our work yet,' the boss said. 'But you missed that tear.'

As Halo made their way through the haunted house, they began to feel their skin prickle. Looking over their shoulder, Halo could swear that someone was following them. There in the darkness was something waiting.

If she was going to get away with this, Jess would have to take certain precautions. That's why her bathroom was lined in thick layers of plastic. Cleaners were also set aside just in case blood got in the gaps. Tonight, her abuser would die.

Changing Seasons

The dandelions have given all their wishes to the wind as I bid farewell to the painter, who adroitly gave new life to the Victorian walls and ceilings of the mansion that is now my home...

The copper ring's #patina dulled with age. It took on a sickly green colour. The jeweler examined it, as he listened to the customer. The man looked over his shoulder and wrung his hands.

"So...how much?"

"Can't promise a whole lot. Why in such a hurry?"

"It wants the ring back."

He set to work. He took samples, measured the distance between the body and the #blood_spatter, and took photos from multiple angles. His mind put the puzzle pieces together, but he felt it.

He shivered at the feeling of being watched. Someone else enjoyed what he did for a living.

"Look at my arm."

They saw the goosebumps, the #horripilation all over his skin. It looked like a rash, every hair stood on end.

"Temperature's dropped twenty degrees," the leader said. "Something's coming, something really big."

They shivered in the cold and waited.

A robin reconnoitred the Central Park of Boomshraagle. News had spread that they were laying out food for hungry birds there.

They were, but in a futile attempt of cost-saving measures. Hence, they cut the worms in two so as to double the amount of food and because they had no proper warehouse, they stored them next to the rat poison until somebody could spare the time to lay them out by the bird feeding station.

The robin eyed the young girl that was helping her dad with this task. When she noticed that she was being observed, she heeled down and held out her hand holding halved worms. After carefully evaluating the situation, the robin hopped on her hand and feasted.

The dying bird's final thoughts were dedicated to her:

What a killer bride!

Dandelions aureate the meadows of the marsh.

"This record is scratched", I hear a voice with a Hungarian accent.

"Terminate ... terminate", I hear another, metallic-sounding one.

THUMP

Silence follows.

As I reconnoitre the situation, I see blood splatter as the sun is dying the wetlands red.

From the off, Miss Piggy's voice states:
"Those were rather unhelpful translations",
and after a pause:
"Somebody will have to clean this up."

Minimal understanding is dawning on me, as Beaker's quangy voice echoes through the scene.

"Mimimimimimimimimi ... !!!"
