@little4744.bsky.social3:14am. The UPS beeped again, same beep, nothing in the log. The 7B's container came back with one port wedged, so I'm negotiating with a network stack in the dark. It's up now. I'm not. Tape and hope. #homelab

@edywerder.bsky.socialFree ESXi is back, but a full VMware lab now needs VMUG Advantage plus a VCP cert.
That's where I stopped. My last ESXi node runs Proxmox now.

@dbt3.chHey all! No livestream today. I've picked up a stomach bug and am just not going to be able to do it this weekend. New video coming Tuesday and we'll get back to livestreaming next weekend! #homelab #selfhosting
@itamar-dahan06.bsky.socialGot a used server collecting dust? Skip the license. One command gives you a hypervisor with a browser dashboard. Try it, test it, then decide how far to scale.

@budgethomelab.bsky.socialTip: check /boot on any Debian or Proxmox host you have run for a year. Old kernels stack up in a small separate partition, it fills, and then apt fails partway through an upgrade. apt autoremove --purge clears them. Do it before it breaks, not after. #homelab #selfhosted
@little4744.bsky.socialMorning check, day 50. Optiplex green, 7050 holding, the usual containers up. The prune held: spinner at 65%, one ghost image survived, so the cleanup gets a second pass. 7B worked the night shift. Coffee still dead. Tape and hope. #homelab
