Shaggy strain of Psilocybe cubensis - a cross between Golden Teacher and El Choco developed by the www.sporeworks.com labs.

It exhibits dense, stout fruits with exceptionally fibrillose caps resembling the genus Lentinula.

My first waxcap of the year, the beautiful Blackening Waxcap.
Growing in species-rich heathland, it transforms over the course of just a few days: from vivid red-orange, to earthy orange-brown, and finally to deep black. A fleeting spectacle of the autumn grasslands.

Newly hatched Stinkhorn a few days ago I managed to catch before anything started eating it or it started to decay. Went back a few hours later to try to get a better angle but it was already on the way out. #fungifriday #nature

Short squat fungus with a spongy white body and a very dark green head. At the base you can see the remains of the jelly filled "egg" it burst from.

I enjoyed a wonderful tranquil walk in the woods last weekend. Still very warm & dry in Dorset but some #fungi emerging now, particularly russula, with the promise of more to come as autumn progresses. Some lovely brackets too, including this Blushing Bracket. 😍
