Doing a proof of concept playtest tonight for a new Draw Steel project. This is definitely the most ambitious ttrpg project I've ever tackled. But it'll be a fun way to hone my design skills and try things out! #drawsteel

Been continuing to work on the Stream Overlay for my eventual streamed Draw Steel campaign... and I've got an update!

This is StawlReader - local app that pulls Stamina values from a character sheet on Stawl (a great Draw Steel resource), and draws it as a bar.

on top of the gamemaker studio window: a Google Chrome browser window with an open spreadsheet that collects and splits data from URLs.

On top of everything, a small, blue window with three buttons, sixteen bars, and a bunch of small text -- this is the StawlReader app (currently running from the Gamemaker Project).

The buttons start and stop the program, set it to testing mode or for campaign play, and open the google sheet that it references.

the health bars show as green, yellow, or red, depending on how much stamina a draw steel character has, by reading their data from Stawl (a Draw Steel web application). the active bars are green, green, and aqua; reading as three characters in the tool, two of which are healthy (green), and one who has more stamina than their maximum (aqua).
