Ah, Caravan. This San Jose dive bar has survived all the many failed businesses around it. Sometimes they’d have live music but they’re mostly famous for cheap alcohol. How do I know this? You can figure that one out yourself.

San Jose is littered with businesses that have been shuttered forever, like Chacho’s. SJ’s quasi-dangerous Greyhound Bus terminal just a block away long out of business contributed to the blight. I do have a soft spot for this sign.

San Jose had a rash of abandoned electric scooters several years ago. This is the first I have seen in a long time. I liked the way it looked forced to recline with the light and shadow.
