Had another go at a spindle for a spinning wheel. I have the original, and I've had 4 or 5 goes at replicating it now. None of them up to snuff so far, will see if the new one works.

The charring process changed the shape of the knob, it's no longer round. I can't decide if I like the fire damaged look or not. Should I remake it?

Wee yellow hazel mushroom we coppiced a while ago. When cut back, even down to bare ground, hazel regrows. Folk belief says it bestows wisdom, prophecy, & poetic inspiration.

Ok, my solution to the problem of "how will anyone know this is an egg cup" is to make some eggs that are durable enough to take to the market. Is that a joke or a real attempt to solve the problem? Hard to say. But the eggs were fun. From some cherry branches.
