Love showing just how cool the old world looks when you don’t have to look at a movement tray.

Sounds daft but it’s all about the asthetic. We want to see armya, not mdf or 3d printed rims constraining models in there grip.

Dos mineros más para el clan y el Karak!

La verdad es que las minis clásicas ganan por goleada a las actuales en mi opinión, y para q no decaiga la edad media de minis de metal, ahora un poco de #mesbg

Rapid reform magic.

MiniMagTRAYs unique design allows some truly unique applications.

Reforming can be a pain but the benefits are there. You just have to take them.

If I used AI to make this… I’d have chosen a better model 🫣

Anyway, just want to show off these cool skirmish trays.

Enjoy 😊

Finished a batch of Chaos warhounds. I've got the basing scheme down to a pretty good process.

These models were released 26 years apart, but I feel like they are similar enough that they can still hang together and not look too strange.

More thoughts in the alt text.

2000 is definitely not when I painted the old orc. I was starting high school that year and while I had seen Warhammer a year before in a visit to France, it hadn't made its way to Romania yet. I was also feeling pretty mature about myself and not interested in toys at all. Here are a few thoughts on new vs old: Obviously, the tooling is much better now. The moldline and undercuts are much subtler on the modern sculpts. The new one had many more details which I just removed. I enlarged the eyes on the old one so I could paint them easier. Body type: I do prefer the gorilla anatomy of the old model, with its longer arms and shorter feet. They are mushroom creatures so it feels correct when they have stranger anatomy. Heads: I might prefer the new heads. Orcs released in the last few years have looked really vicious and feral, but these new ones are a bit goofy again, which is a big plus for me and the first thing that made me interested in them. Hands: The hands are just a bit smaller to the point they are almost interchangeable, depending on your OCD. Weapons: I like that they've made the weapons smaller. I think it makes the orcs seem larger in comparison. My ideal old world orc for when GW does them? Go back to the gorilla anatomy, but most importantly make the faces goofy!

Yesterday for day 986 of the #HobbyStreak I started work on some Jade Warriors, the plan was to paint these before I went on holiday, but life stuff

Been working on warriors of chaos lately. Production line painting chaos armor as we speak.

Going for a "death knights of northrend" vibe.
