Rhetoric of resonance thrums
in alpha pack's howls,
neath lunar beams
sly werewolf lures the maiden
bloodlust fangs glint
carving sigils on her skin
sabotaging the path of rescue,
her screams are carried by the wind
grey ashes cling to cobwebs.

"Did you see that #apparition?! One moment it's there, the next it's gone!"

"The lady in grey? Oh, that's just Gladys. She still gotta get used to manifesting her presence. Don't worry, she might pop in now and then, but she's not a bad sort."

"He's eight feet tall, lanky, and missing all his teeth. Oh, and he tends to wander around and startle people by accident. But he's a good guy, once you get to know him."

At nightfall
repulsive apparitions crawl
the gloomy mountain,
in an unnoticed moment
a haunting story of chaos unfolds,
gnarled yew spawns sinister specters
blood smeared scythe descends
in the darkened woodland
silencing the final cries.

As #twilight fell, the village settled in for a long autumn night. The chilly wind blew through. The ashes of the bonfires grew cold, the animals began their sleep, and the people awaited the snows to come. The land lost its warmth until the coming spring.

the chimney’s flames,
biting cold forcing
the tenacious birch to renounce,
footsteps fading beneath
the heavy snowfall,
a lonesome swallow perches
on a forgotten postbox
its cry drifting into silence.

The #swallows flew south for the winter. All the augurs and oracles foretold a harsh snow this season and warned all the lords to plan accordingly.

As the weather grew colder, the animals went into #hibernation. Not only the bears, but the various denizens of the kingdom went into their yearly sleep. The ones who didn't wished their friends happy dreams until spring.
