Wat verandert er met de nieuwe richtlijn?
Voor opgeloste chemische stoffen bestaat al sinds 2010 een OESO testrichtlijn. Die is uitdrukkelijk niet bedoeld voor nanomaterialen.

Hoe schadelijk dat is, weten wetenschappers nog niet goed, omdat de deeltjes lastig te volgen zijn. Een nieuwe richtlijn van de OESO moet daar verandering in brengen.

Via voedsel, lucht en verzorgingsproducten krijg je dagelijks nogal wat nanodeeltjes binnen. Een deel ervan blijft maanden of zelfs jaren in organen als de lever en de milt achter.
