Here's a good chance to gather some cozy reading for the winter.
(Yes, we know it is still very warm outside, but we remember crazy weather in January.)

Does anyone know why the book Lyrical and Critical Essays by Albert Camus is so expensive?

I can find a used paperback for $80, and copies quickly get into the hundreds of dollars. Is it an out of print textbook?

Finishing Catch means I'm allowed to shop again. Adding Forty Days of Musa Dagh and (finally) an old #paperback copy of Gravity's Rainbow. Never seen this one in the flesh before, had to have it as soon as I saw it. #Mtl used bookstores don't disappoint!

I recently said that literary whiplash is a normal thing for me. Book #49 is a prime example! A little non-fiction this time with The Secret History of Dreaming. I know I have some bizarre ones every now and then! 😅

In 4th grade, I read Wood Song. My obsession with dogs, dog sledding, and Alaska began. Gary Paulsen showed me a whole new world! I never did get the chance to run a team or go to Alaska. #48, Woods Runner, because why not? Not dogs or sledding but still a nostalgic author.

Next time my budget allows, I will be ordering the next three books of the Dorothy Must Die series from Thriftbooks because what!? Excellent read. 5 stars all the way! Love it!

Not sure what is up next but for now, bed time. Goodnight!

Pro Tip for Booksellers adding images to listings:
If you describe a modern book as a 1st edition/1st printing, add a picture of the COPYRIGHT PAGE. Pictures of the dust jacket help too, but the copyright page is the 800# gorilla source for IDing printings often.

Finished #Woodworm, what a great read! It's a short, intricately woven story told from 2 perspectives. It has #gothic feel but it's not locked in a time period. I'm adding this to my re-read pile, I really liked it. Wrapped one book, now I'm allowed to shop 🙂

“Everyone gets everything he wants.” I wanted a #usedbooks store, “and for my sins, they gave me one.” readitagainbooks.net Oak Grove, MO #bookhaul

Had a house call yesterday. Picked up good unusual culinary books & pamphlets & books about books. Some private press too, UK & US.

One of the best things about this work is, even after 30y of doing it, seeing books I've never known before, often several times a week.
