Blowing on hot rice helps cool it down by replacing the air around it with cooler drier air, so that conduction and evaporation can work faster #ivydoll #science #thermalcamera

Hey, you. Give this post a repost so people discover that I'm on blue sky now too. Yeah, you.

Dog noses are cold because they are wet and cool down as moisture evaporates #ivydoll #science #thermalcamera #dog

Thermal cameras can't see through water, but wax floats on water and hot water rises. So we can see most of the thermal interaction between the water and the wax because it's on the top surface #ivydoll #science #thermalcamera

Rubbing your hands together creates friction, which produces heat. However, it's mostly just on the skin #ivydoll #science #thermalcamera #coldhands

How does a mirror reflect heat in a thermal camera? Shouldn't that be impossible? #ivydoll #science #thermalcamera #mirror

Thin latex lets most long wave infrared light pass through it, so it's not a good material to use to hide from thermal cameras #ivydoll #science #thermalcamera

Electrically heated mittens are 100% efficient because the waste heat is actually the goal #ivydoll #science #thermalcamera

Brainfreeze occurs when the roof of your mouth gets too cold too quickly, causing a nerve response which makes blood vessels constrict and then painfully swell #ivydoll #science #thermalcamera

this is what glass looks like in a thermal camera, surprisingly it's not transparent!

I was just looking at it and suddenly I got this irresistible urge to get inside. No, not an urge, more than that. #ivydoll #science #thermalcamera #mgs #kojima

We tested @RISIONglobal Magic thermal camera with iPhone 16 Pro. Its compact design and impressive thermal image quality make it a useful tool for finding hot spots around the house, but the app has some bugs to work out. #review #thermalcamera #iPhone

My fingers are abnormally cold so they look dark on a thermal camera. I'm trying to treat my condition so they are no longer chronically cold #ivydoll #science #thermalcamera

In color tattoos the darker pigments absorb more infrared light than the lighter pigments and so they get hotter, especially in the sun

Did you think my mouth would get THAT cold from the popsicle? It was mango by the way #ivydoll #science #thermalcamera

Stretched latex is fairly transparent to long wave infrared light, which this thermal camera sees. But my fingers are cold so you can still see cold spots left by them. #ivydoll #science #thermalcamera
