Today’s theme by Helen for #BirdOfTheDay is #BestBeaks. So here is what I consider one of the most striking and colourful beaks in the bird world that I’ve captured, the Toucan #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #shropshire #UKwildlife #birdphotography #canon #photography

A lovely closeup portrait shot I took of a Great Grey Owl for todays #BirdOfTheDay which is #BlackandWhite #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #shropshire #UKwildlife #birdphotography #canon #photography

For #BestOfTheMonth in today’s #BirdOfTheDay, I’ve chosen this well timed shot taken over the weekend of the return of the Blue Tits to The Garden Jungle #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #shropshire #UKwildlife #birdphotography #canon #photography

We have #EFG today for #BirdOfTheDay, so I have this lovely pose from an Egyptian Goose from the Summer taken in Hampshire UK for you #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #shropshire #UKwildlife #birdphotography #canon #photography

It’s been an abundant year for the Grapes this year in The Garden Jungle. This morning some were picked and turned into nearly a litre of pure Grape juice, lovely tasting #thegardenjungle #HomeGrownFruit

#BokehBirds is the main theme for today’s #BirdOfTheDay, so here is a capture I managed to get with the ocean behind whilst In The Farne Islands, a beautiful Atlantic Puffin #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #shropshire #UKwildlife #birdphotography #canon #photography

A lovely specimen of a large Grey Heron on a river Teme weir earlier today #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #shropshire #UKwildlife #birdphotography #canon #photography

Had some great views of a Grey Wagtail deciding to have a bath beside the river Teme in Ludlow this lunchtime #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #shropshire #UKwildlife #birdphotography #canon #photography

Today is the turn of #SeaBirds for the #BirdOfTheDay, so here was a first for me in the Isles of Scilly, a Scopoli’s Shearwater. A magic birding moment 10 miles out in the Atlantic #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #shropshire #UKwildlife #birdphotography #canon #photography

A really nice sunny afternoon here today in South Shropshire, here’s my view out in the countryside #thegardenjungle

A few shots from The Garden Jungle this morning, a nice selection of birds turning up regularly now, Sparrows, Blue Tits and a flock of Long Tailed Tits #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #shropshire #UKwildlife #birdphotography #canon #photography

Todays #BirdOfTheDay theme is #Pairs, so here are a pair of Oyster Catchers in formation for you #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #shropshire #UKwildlife #birdphotography #canon #photography

#Borbs is any bird looking plump, this Mandarin Duck doesn’t look like it has been at the back of the queue when finding food, for #BirdOfTheDay #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #shropshire #UKwildlife #birdphotography #canon #photography

Today is the turn of #TheDivers to have the limelight for #BirdOfTheDay so I have a selection for you (species in the alt tags). #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #shropshire #UKwildlife #birdphotography #canon #photography

The first arrivals of FieldFare heard and spotted today in South Shropshire, don’t remember them being this early last year although there was only eight in this first arrival #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #shropshire #UKwildlife #birdphotography #canon #photography

This Red Kite has decided that the tree out the back of The Garden Jungle is its preferred perch now, lovely to see it there many times during the day, I’ll add this to the #BirdOfTheDay #Raptors images #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #shropshire #UKwildlife

For todays #BirdOfTheDay theme we have the great subject of #Raptors, so here is a close up of a Kestrel I photographed in South Devon in the UK soaring above the cliffs on the look out for prey below #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #UKwildlife #birdphotography #canon

When I was out walking yesterday on the Long Mynd in South Shropshire, I came across this wild Pony with a Foal #thegardenjungle

This is the first decent sized cluster of Fungi found so far this year, this was at Snailbeach in South Shropshire. I believe it to be Suplhur Tuft, inedible and widespread in forest locations around trunks and rotting stems #thegardenjungle

So for today we have #Redheads as the chosen theme for #BirdOfTheDay, so here I have a beautiful Red Crested Pochard for you taken at WWT Martin Mere. This one was quite inquisitive and headed straight towards me #birds #thegardenjungle #wildlifephotography #birdwatching #UKwildlife #birdphotography
