@pencilmarks.bsky.socialIt's around this time that I begin to draw #Halloween pencil portraits such as this 5 day #art I drew of #Leatherface from #TexasChainsawMassacre (I once met #GunnarHansen, nice guy) However, this year I'm working on something and as much as I want to, drawing #HorrorFilms will eat into the project.
@artsyapple.bsky.socialIf you're an artist on VGen, and you do yumeships for horror characters, please put your username in the comments. I've been trying to find someone to commission so I can see myself shipped with Bubba Sawyer from Texas Chainsaw Massacre lol

@docvark.bsky.socialSally laughs while Leatherface does his dance of pain and regret…
@docvark.bsky.socialSally has the greenest eyes
@docvark.bsky.socialHow far is it between the Hardesty (old Franklin) place and the Sawyers’? Close enough for Sally to push Franklin through heavy brush to reach it. You really have to suspend disbelief to imagine that the Hardestys didn’t know anything about the Sawyers
@docvark.bsky.socialThat the Hardestys and Sawyers lived next to each other, that both grandpas were connected to the slaughterhouse, that Franklin knew the place well enough to know how to get to the swimming hole, all leads me to this BIG problem I have with the movie
@docvark.bsky.socialSo, the dried up swimming hole is out back of the old Franklin place, which is in viewing distance of the Sawyer place, meaning the Hardesty grandparents lived next to the Sawyers, likely for decades
@docvark.bsky.socialWhy does Franklin ask where the ‘old Franklin place’ is located? Does that mean Franklin is named after his mother’s maiden name?
@docvark.bsky.socialThe capitalist come home where the workers, left behind and forgotten, rise up, kill them, and then in a final revolutionary act, eat the rich, starting the revolution. Sally’s survival means that ultimately, the capitalist class survives to seek retribution
@docvark.bsky.socialThe Hardesty represent the capitalist class (Grandpa took his cattle to the abattoir for slaughtering) and the Sawyers represent the working class (Grandpa Sawyer did the slaughtering).
@docvark.bsky.socialTwo things. First, this is NOT about a group of kids stumbling across a family of cannibals in the boonies of East Texas, no. It’s a neo-Marxist call for the proletariat revolution to begin. And 2nd, Sally surviving is the most terrifying aspect of the story
