*shrug*

#terriblecomictuesday

A multi-panel comic. The top two pages show someone lying down on top of a roof on a crate. They are wearing a headband with floppy Snoopy ears. In the second panel, someone opens a door visible in the background. The middle panel has four impossible tridents or poiuyts. They are an optical illusion that makes it appear it should have three legs or prongs, but the middle section on the upper part of the object appears to be empty space. The tridents have been placed on top of each other in pairs. Parts are erased and shaded to make the illusion even more disorienting. In the middle is a drawing of an artist rendition of a black hole. Purple light is being ejected out of one end and being projected out of the other. The bottom panel shows one person pointing at it. They are fragmenting into pieces toward the black hole. Text reads in one bubble, "I dunno what it does," the second reads, "looks neat though". The final panel shows the other person. Their text bubble reads "what the fuc" and the bubble and part of the text is being pulled toward the black hole. The person is wearing a headband with Snoopy ears, and they are breaking apart and going toward the black hole.

I heard #TerribleComicTuesday is a thing.

So I made this to celebrate my existential dread.

#terriblecomictuesday

Sketchy comic drawn in pencil. The top left is a sketch of me looking at my phone with a frown. I have big round glasses, messy hair, and am wearing a big sweater with a collared shirt underneath. There is a bubble coming from my phone that says "New Awful Thing!". Underneath text reads "I'm starting to hate my phone." Next section on the top right shows me trying to draw at my drafting table but reaching for my phone. Underneath text reads "I find myself unthinkingly reaching for it." Bottom left section is me with my eyes closed, frowning, with my hand on my cheek. There is a fuzzy bubble coming from my head. Underneath the text reads "And I have trouble focusing, like my brain is full of fuzz." The last section on the bottom right shows me walking outside saying "Time for an outside break." The text underneath reads "This wasn't so hard before. I feel like I'm trying to remember how to be human again."

Valid criticisms on todays #terriblecomictuesday

Two panel and an empty space comic. Weird little rabbit dude reflects on how boids normally dance to get each other's attention. He precedes to do the worst looking dance of all time in front of the boids. One screams that it's awful while the other one offers a more in depth criticism which surprised the weird due and the other boid.

I've also been participating in #Terriblecomictuesday lately. Might not do it every week but plab to participate again soon. Fun way to test new ideas!

Couple days late for #terriblecomictuesday, but enjoy this tale of spine-tingling terror!

It's #TerribleComicTuesday and I have a zine PSA (as I'm in the midst of Phoenix Zine Fest prep)

A black and white comic. The first half reads: "If you are making one page mini-zines, DO NOT use this format! It's extra effort to fold the cover in place and is messy! Makes my hand sad! Bad!!!" The second half reads: "Use this one instead! The cover is easier to fold, less effort on my hand! Hand approved! So clean!" The bad format is for US copy size paper with the the bottom half labeled in quarters (left to right) pg 5, pg 6, back cover, front cover. The top half - flipped 180, appearing upside down - is pg 1, pg 2, pg 3, pg 4. The correct format is in quarters (left to right) back cover, front cover, pg 1, pg 2. Top half - flipped 180, appearing upside down - is pg 3, pg 4, pg 5, pg 6. Somehow this makes the cover pages in the middle section when folding.

"Terrible" can mean "scary." I wanted to make a horror comic for #terriblecomictuesday but started too late. I used photos I took of utility poles, corn & windmills at sunset. The aliens are made of Slump the snow tripod. #collage #digitalart #surreal #aliens #sunset #photocomic

Captions in the thought bubbles from the shimmery alien root system: humans are so dependent on patterns and rules that all it takes to derail them is to show them something that differs from what they expect- even if the difference is trivial. We asked some humans why this is and they said something about "survival instincts" and "death."

Thought bubble captions: We've adjusted the simulation to make it as familiar as possible, and we're rearranging our roots to evoke animal shapes the best we can. You guys still like trees and clouds and symmetry, right? We don't want to scare you too much; irrational humans are not useful for our projects.

Captions: What's the problem with death if humans keep making new humans? We get that humans can't be too wasteful of their bodies. But their fear of death is so excessive that it can slow development, or prevent them from escaping life-threatening scenarios! Humans ask us constantly what we are but reject every answer. What do you mean you "don't remember?" We've tried to introduce ourselves many times since life appeared on this planet, but humans always act like they've never seen us before. So do your brains just... lose data permanently? and this isn't a conscious decision? wow.

It's #TerribleComicTuesday. Again.

I need to make comics on a day when I don't do D&D for my sister's kids. 😅

So.

Terrible Comic.

Tuesday.

It's a thing.

Tell your friends.

It's another Devil Girl and Moon Dinosaur (Don'tSueMeDisney) comic.

Panel one has Devil Girl standing on a porch. She is a young devil, forehead horns, her white hair in braids, a cropped T-shirt and a plaid skirt. Knee socks and a devil's tail.

Her mom yells from off screen: "Dear, would you get your mom's phone?"

Did I mention that Devil Girl looks put out? She yells back: "Ugh. Where is it?"

Mom: "In the living room,by the fish tank!"

Devil Girl: "UGH. FINE!"

Then there's panel two.

Devil Girl, looking disgusted, and two fish, standing on an army tank.

With one of those big cannons? So, not a watery fish tank, but a pow boom tank?

See how I messed with your expectations?

For comedy?

So you could laugh?

Yup.

Okay then.

#TerribleComicTuesday #yamart

A three panel strip. Panel one has the artist thinking "should I make a comic for terrible comic tuesday?" The second panel has them thinking "No, I won't." The artist has left, and the third panel reads "you're welcome."
