@kenfromchicago.bsky.social#StarTrekDiscovery could've had Stamets as a civilian expert on the spores / mushrooms.
Tilly could've been the civilian expert on how space jumps mapped to the universe.
Saru could been a civilian expert on getting the space waterbears.
Burnham was Starfleet science officer who worked with them.
@kenfromchicago.bsky.socialI utterly hated the initial gold starship design. Somehow making it silver was more palatable.
But first time I had hope in #StarTrekDiscovery was this poster with a phrase that gave me hope TPTB did have an understanding of #StarTrek:
At the edge of the universe, Discovery begins.
@kenfromchicago.bsky.socialThis year is the 60th anniversary of #StarTrek.
9 years ago meant Paramount was a year late launching #StarTrekDiscovery and the return to TV in time for the big 50th anniversary.
Next year, the return to TV won't just conclude, it will be *concluded* by someone, Paramount. Not passive voice.
@warren-watched.bsky.social#AlexKurtzman began his reign of terror on #StarTrek with the premiere of Star Trek: Discovery today in 2017!

@fanofckr.bsky.socialTilly and Rayner got off to a pretty rocky start in #StarTrekDiscovery. 😅
How do you think things would’ve developed between them if we’d gotten a Season 6?

@protojman.comA look shared between characters who sense how much of a PIA they will be for each other #disco #startrekdiscovery
@viva-victoria.bsky.socialTrek has always imagined an inclusive future: Uhura, Sisko, Janeway, Dax - those were characters with stories, stakes and room to grow
When #StarTrekDiscovery and #StarTrekAcademy announce their values more eagerly than developing characters, it feels cheap
Representation deserves substance

@astralargonaut.bsky.socialInteresting how in “…Legion, Bob,” Archimedes has the same vocal pattern as Su’Kal.

@gaghyogi49.bsky.socialA graphic of a gormagander (originally seen season 1 of #StarTrekDiscovery, the lifeform, not the graphic!) appears in the science lab aboard the USS Enterprise in #StarTrekSNW's "Orders of Magnitude".
