#SpacetoberChallenge Day 4: Mercury

I opted for the NASA human spaceflight program rather than the planet, and illustrated the crew capsule that sent the first American astronauts into space during the Mercury program.

Thanks for asking! I’m participating this October in #SpacetoberChallenge with film stills and clips from the animated music video I sent you. It’s been a lot of fun so far. Most of the prompts work for this collection 👍

#SpacetoberChallenge Day 2: Galaxy

In our house, we often say, "I'm a Galaxy" when we begin to spiral for any reason at all, whether it be humorous or serious. So I when I think of a galaxy, I think "spiraling". Featuring an artistic interpretation of a (of course) spiral galaxy.

Day 1 of the #SpacetoberChallenge: Liftoff

Today marks exactly 6 months since Artemis II lifted off from Kennedy Space Center, so it felt like the perfect subject for today’s prompt.

My linocut portrait of Félicette, a Parisian stray tuxedo cat who was recruited into the French space program. It's printed by hand, in black ink on pearlescent Japanese paper, 6" x 8". She peers from the side of the image, facing the viewer with the electrode on her head, the Véronique rocket, paw print, her name and starry sky behind her.

Here’s the official 2026 prompt list. Post your art for the prompt each day during the month of October. Your art can either be brand new, or something you’ve previously created that fits the prompt. What's important is that YOU made it (No Gen-AI)!
