Jejune - This Afternoon's Malady
Iconic 2nd-wave emo band formed in 1996 at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
A refinement of the sound on their first album, Junk, this one remains one of my favorite records of all time.
@rtnrlfy.bsky.socialNext up: a true classic, ‘Break syndical’ from Les Cowboys Fringants (a band we unfortunately never got to hear live). #realmusic #roadtripmusic
@rtnrlfy.bsky.socialNext up: an artist we were delighted to see live last night for the first time since before the pandemic. This is the 2012 debut album from The Devin Cuddy Band. Some real bangers on this disc that have stood the test of time. #realmusic #roadtripmusic
@rtnrlfy.bsky.socialFirst listen of today’s road trip: a super fun collaboration between @stephaneicheroff.bsky.social and Roman Nowka’s Hot 3 (tribute to the music of Mani Matter) #realmusic #roadtripmusic

@thepackmusic.bsky.socialSpotify removed tens of millions of AI-generated tracks last year. Those tracks were pulling from the same royalty pool as music made by actual humans. The Pack features human-created music. Full stop. We're crowdfunding to launch. #HumanMadeMusic #AIinMusic #FairPay #ThePackMusic #RealMusic

@mattulm.bsky.socialThe stairs in your building are broken. The landlord stopped returning calls in 2008. You climb them anyway. Every. Single. Day.
That's not a metaphor. That's Tuesday.

@joemicvbm.bsky.socialThere’s a flock of brilliant young singers in NYC lately, but Laura stands out. A mix of absolute musical mastery, sincerity, love of the songs, a total lack of diva-ness, and pure magic that doesn’t come along very often. #realmusic
