#RayGunn #Film #Review – #BradBird’s animated #filmnoir #scifi caper is an old-school family classic

#SamRockwell voices the gumshoe who becomes embroiled with #ScarlettJohansson’s femme fatale in this big-hearted and beautifully designed fantasy spectacular

Okay, Brad Bird’s #RayGunn is an absolute triumph. The director has crafted a gloriously atmospheric sandbox that is visually stunning, immersive, and gorgeous to look at.

The world-building is phenomenal, the characters are compelling, and the score is truly superb! #LFF

#RayGunn is the most visually ambitious film you'll see all year. The animation is next level and just breathtaking. The story, though is overly confusing, and adding in the social commentary doesn't work. Tom Waits is great, Rockwell and Johansson just fine.

#RayGunn is yet another jewel in Brad Bird's rapidly overflowing crown. #LFF

Scarlett Johansson stuns at the ‘RAY GUNN’ premiere at LFF.

#ScarlettJohansson #RayGunn

Brad Bird’s #RayGunn is like Blade Runner meets The Maltese Falcon. A visionary, breathtaking & awe-inducing retro futuristic noir mystery housing exhilarating action, exquisite animation & a sparkling soundtrack. Rockwell & Johansson are perfect, but Tom Waits is stellar.
