@allflicker.bsky.social@allflicker.bsky.socialThis is a thing that’s happening next year
@allflicker.bsky.socialStallone is doing some great driving acting here
@allflicker.bsky.socialHas Stallone ever killed monsters in anything?
Maybe the Dredd clones and robots in Judge Dredd come to mind but what else?
@allflicker.bsky.socialHave you kids at home found where John Rambo is hiding?
@allflicker.bsky.socialHis plan of asking him not to did not work
@allflicker.bsky.socialKirk got his revenge by playing Stallone‘s dad at the beginning of Oscar and beating the shit out of him for five minutes
@allflicker.bsky.socialWhat are all the other soldiers fucking trained to do then?
@allflicker.bsky.socialRichard Crenna took over the role of Troutman under such insanely short notice that he had to be fed his lines in his first scene.
@allflicker.bsky.socialKirk Douglas originally was cast as Col. Troutman
He arrived on set one day and wanted to change the ending to kill Rambo himself then putting on the headband and becoming the new Rambo.
@allflicker.bsky.socialThis actor’s nose was really broken during Stallone’s jailbreak
@allflicker.bsky.socialStallone rewrote a lot of the script to soften Rambo’s more psychotic and bloodthirsty characteristics.
@allflicker.bsky.socialThe book has Teasle’s own Korean war experience and jealousy over the attention Nam vets are getting as context for the hatred he feels towards Rambo
@allflicker.bsky.socialThe first of many, really well done and gory self surgery scenes in Rambo movies
@allflicker.bsky.socialI mean, … fuck the helicopter pilot for being scared by — oh no! a rock
@allflicker.bsky.social@allflicker.bsky.socialStallone still keeps this canvas bag poncho as a souvenir
@allflicker.bsky.socialYou put banjo music over this here chase and we got ourselves a Burt Reynolds movie
@allflicker.bsky.socialConsidering what we now know about John Rambo, he’s going pretty easy overall on these gentlemen
@allflicker.bsky.socialStallone thought this movie would ruin his career but F.I.S.T would get him an Oscar
