#photogrammetry
@joealoh.bsky.socialEvery aerial photograph has an exact centre: the principal point, where the camera pointed straight down.
@junaidwaseem474.bsky.socialWhat factors determine survey-grade drone LiDAR accuracy? Explore the physics of IMU drift, PPK trajectory processing, boresight calibration, and strip adjustment. Click here to read the guide.
@photomodeler.comImage stabilization is great for photographs and video but quietly terrible for measurement.
OIS shifts camera elements between frames, so the camera's geometry changes shot to shot — and photogrammetry needs it fixed. Switch it off.
@nevingerphots.bsky.socialA railroad bridge no longer in use. Too bad.

@nevingerphots.bsky.socialJust a nice flight down the Chehalis River in a Mavic 2 Pro.
@gspeed0689.mapstodon.space.ap.brid.gy360 camera photogrammetry is getting good, no masks to get rid of me or other people.

@junaidwaseem474.bsky.socialTrying to choose the right software for your UAV workflows? We do a deep dive comparing QGIS and ArcGIS Pro specifically focusing on their capabilities, plugins, and performance in drone photogrammetry processing. Read the full software comparison here.
@junaidwaseem474.bsky.socialSending gigabytes of drone imagery to the cloud isn't always viable in the field. Running photogrammetry directly on the edge cuts latency and speeds up spatial analysis.

A huge series of #photogrammetry models taken from areas around Japan. We loved getting to go into the whole #3DGS scene and seeing the paths of the numerous scans for each exhibit.

@shieldbotproject.bsky.social💡Precision starts with understanding uncertainty.
ShieldBot research on #photogrammetry was presented at the 3D Metrology Conference 2026 in London last week.

@cupcakewilleatu.eurosky.socialCool project, instead of matching 2D features like in #Photogrammetry you cast motion extracted rays into #voxel grid

Approaching the next phase for 3D model extraction from a photogrammetric reconstruction.
The main challenge: Point cloud to triangle mesh. Will be interesting, to say the least 😋
