He told us to talk with him some more after getting off the plane. He led us to a quiet gate area, and spent another 15-20 mins chatting with us. My kids gave him hugs, and we said goodbye. Forget what they say about meeting your heroes. ❤️ to Jim Palmer for a special time today.

My wife was talking to a "former baseball player" at the airport gate, and frantically waved me over. We chatted about baseball. A lot. He told me about golfing with Thurman Munson. He got excited when I mentioned Blaze Alexander. Jim Palmer is a fascinating, wonderful guy. ❤️⚾

Once upon a time i was a baseball fan. Born and raised in #Orioles Country, my second favorite team was "whoever plays the Yankees". Now living outside Tampa, I didn't even know we were in the playoffs. GO RAYS!
