My entirely unscientific summary of the Stuff Kingmakers Debate:
Two articulate leaders — Swarbrick and Wong.
One angry grandpa — Peters.
One “investors matter; investing in people, not so much” — Seymour.
And one leader who simply didn’t get enough airtime — Waititi.

Only 61% of eligible 18–24 year olds are enrolled to vote.
That is more than an election issue. It is a civic literacy issue.
If we want participation, we need preparation.
Young people should reach voting age knowing how democracy works and how to take part.
Democracy doesn’t require us to agree. It requires us to participate.
You can be frustrated with politics, disappointed by parties, or unconvinced by the choices on offer.
But opting out doesn’t strengthen your voice.
Use it.
A consent permits building; it doesn't prove occupancy. In a Stats NZ sample, 87.5% of homes consented in late 2020 had completion certificates three years later. Who moved in, and could they afford it?

40 days to go. 🇳🇿
Voting isn’t about finding perfection. It’s about deciding who you trust to represent your voice, your priorities, and the direction you want Aotearoa New Zealand to take.

Back in black by 2028? So soon! Exciting times... for the top 5% while the rest of us pay the price with job loses a dying economy & a cost of living crisis #PutTheNatsLast it's where they put you #OneTermGovt #NZpol #NZElection2026
If by spending pledge they mean budget cuts & reduced spending... #OneTermGovt #PutTheNatsLast #NZpol #NZElection2026
They tried to fix it... #NZpol #DumpNAFCoalition #OneTermGovt #NZElection2026
Except the official was reminding them rather than telling them not to put anything in writing. This is systematic. The culture led by & pushed by #NAFCoalition has caused this #DumpNAFCoalition #OneTermGovt #NZElection2026
They can't even put up a conflute properly key alone manage the economy or fix health care or education #DumpNAFCoalition #NZpol #OneTermGovt #NZElection2026
