Absolutely love the colors on Hygrocybe mushrooms. Not sure which species this is, but its pretty! I like the tiny transparent worm under its cap, too.

A beautiful, bright orange, and very tiny mushroom grows against out-of-focus, bluish-black and brown soil and cedar duff. This tiny mushroom barely stands an inch tall and is uniformly colored. Its stipe is smooth and is angled slightly to the right. Its cap is slightly roughly textured and is wet with rain. The edges of the cap are wavy and uneven.

No idea who this little golden guy is, but I love the color and the slightly transparent surface. It also looks nice and glowy in the light with its dark surroundings

A tiny gold-colored mushroom emerges from dark brown cedar duff. The base of its stipe is covered in fuzzy mycelium. Its stipe stands just over an inch tall. Being so young, its cap hasn't fully formed yet and looks like the tip of an arrow - flared at the edge and pointed at the top. Soft dark browns and grays swirl behind and around the mushroom.

Two unlikely friends, a parrot mushroom and a tiny guy (Mycena maybe?), join together on a cold November day near the Puget Sound in Washington

A beautiful yellow and green parrot mushroom, along with a tiny pink-striped and pinkish-white-capped mushroom, stands together on cold, wet, cedar-duff-covered ground. The parrot mushroom has a shiny, smooth yellow stipe. The cap is very uniformly shaped and a beautiful combination of light and darker green. Its wet surface reflects the canopy of trees covering the overcast sky above. The tiny pink mushroom leans against the stipe of the parrot mushroom, its cap disturbing the thin layer of slime that coats the parrot mushroom.

An unusually colored parrot mushroom appears to have had a rough time growing. A nibble from a slug is at least one of its struggles

A yellow and pinkish-orange parrot mushroom grows out of wet, dark brown ground. Its half-inch-tall stipe is yellow and has patches of a white substance on it (possibly mycelium or mold). Its cap is still half-connected to the stipe. The right side of the cap lifts away from the stipe but has been chewed by a slug. The cap is smooth, pinkish-orange, and very shiny from the layer of slime that coats it.

A favorite of mine, the cone tooth fungus (Auriscalpium vulgare) bends outward and grows off of a fallen fir tree cone against distant evergreen huckleberry

The beautiful cone tooth fungus, scientifically known as Auriscalpium vulgare, grows from a fallen fir cone. Its fuzzy brown stipe grows at an angle parallel to the ground before turning straight up for about an inch, leading to its toothy light brown cap. The cap is circular with slightly rough edges. Tiny light brown teeth, each about a millimeter long, hang down and are packed tightly together. The background is a solid emerald green color.

Four tiny, nearly transparent, white mushrooms grow off a stick with their bases close together. Their stipes and caps are covered in tiny water droplets. Their caps are very small, slightly broad, and cone-shaped.
