Joan Hickson, later Miss Marple on TV #MurderSheSaid #TCMPARTY

It was the first of the series--and the only one adapted from a Miss Marple novel. #MurderSheSaid #TCMPARTY

Oh he needs to meet the kid from THE NANNY. And maybe Bette Davis should be hired next. #TCMParty #MurderSheSaid

As I’ve said before, I adore Margaret Rutherford’s Marple. She’s not an unfortunate old spinster, she’s a willing non-conformist, confident in her own competence, survivor of a pandemic, a Great Depression, and 2 world wars that decimated her country. She’s a damn hero. #MurderSheSaid #tcmparty

Oh my gosh. I think that is a very young Richard Briers (as the employment agency dude) who I first saw in #GoodNeighbors. Such a fabulous series (with Penelope Keith as the wonderfully uptight Margo). #TCMParty #BritishTV #MurderSheSaid

Margaret Rutherford in overalls is fantastic! Going over the wall! Ordering Mr. Stringer about how to help her up. This is so great! #MurderSheSaid #TCMParty

Miss Marple needs a more competent assistant. #TCMParty #MurderSheSaid

There are multiple Margaret Rutherford Miss Marple movies, but if they're going to pick just one to air, at least 3 out of 4 times they pick this one. I don't know why. Is it people's favourite or something?

I love 60s comic harpsichord. #TCMParty #MurderSheSaid

#MurderSheSaid is the only one of Rutherford's movies based off a Miss Marple story. "M. Most Foul" and "M. At The Gallop" are based on Hercule Poirot stories and "M. Ahoy" is an original story.

I find it impossible to not do a little shimmy when that theme hits.

Margaret Rutherford has nothing at all to do with Miss Marple (Joan Hickson now and forever), but I enjoy her murder mysteries. They're like Arsenic and Old Lace meets A Hard Day's Night.

"I do know the difference between (Rutherfordian intake of breath) horseplay and murder." 😂 #MurderSheSaid #TCMParty

Gotta love the theme music. #TCMParty #MurderSheSaid

I like the fact that in the 4 movies, they use different variations of the theme.

Am here for some great scenery chewing and fabulous faces from Margaret Rutherford! The bluesy harpsichord just gilds the lily. 😂😂😂😂 #MurderSheSaid #MissMarple #TCMParty #WackyMovieThemeMusic
