Afraid it's regular old electricity. Though the sources are frequently solar, wind, or water-powered, so it's eco-friendly.
Although Walkers, being nocturnal, have excellent night vision.

Kind of their actual job, kind of made up, but Gielle and Jarian would make a great detective team.
They're both detail-oriented and mildly suspicious about everything. And then there's Jarian's connection to criminals to root out information.
As I missed antagonist day, I'm taking today as the chance to drop their vibes into things. π
"Numb" by Linkin Park definitely encapsulates the villain (of SYMBIOTE, which is book 1): youtu.be/kXYiU_JCYtU?....
In contrast to the Walkers' place in a Keeper's mind, [redacted] presents with a slow closing of thoughts by a darkness that [redacted].
(I know, not exactly helpful, but it's my main usage of darkness as a symbol of corruption)
I could probably choose dozens of Lindsey Stirling pieces, but "Eye of the Untold Her" comes the closest to matching tone and story: youtu.be/rWwfyzX2OeM?....
There are no words for how beautiful this composition is.
Terra Nova is the man-made satellite of Lycaon that shares the same orbit. As such, it's in the planet's shadow.
The only way it's lit is through tech, further reflecting it as sterile, cold, and man-made.
It's frowned upon but not rejected among the ParDafi, so MujaRi doesn't bring it up much, but he's bi.
Allows him to tease Jarian all the time as the two tend to lock horns. π

Any character I choose saying this means nothing but trouble.
Gielle and Glass, especially.
(Talked about this in the #SeptemberWorldbuilders prompt)
The #MindWalkers series uses a different set of seasons unique to the planets:
1: Rainy season (Lycaon)
2: Typhoon season (Maris)
3: Dark season (Hilindaun IV)
4: "Dry" season (YelNi)
5: Coldplay season (Tyklor)
(Ugh, Typo!)
On YelNi, the ParDafi have a flute-like instrument called the zith. It's fashioned from crystals found in the caves and produces a hollow sounding, mournful sound.
They feature prominently in the Eclipse Ceremony.
Gielle spends quite a bit of time "in the dark" throughout the series.
1: Who attacked her and her father?
2: Who murdered her Advisor?
3: What happened [redacted]?
4: Who's behind [redacted]?
5: [Redacted]
POVs really depend on the story.
In #MindWalkers, while Gielle dominates, there are other angles I need. So I have up to five.
With #Glass, though, I only have two: Glass and Prince Laszlo.
And #HostageSituation is strictly Caly.

On Maris, most families have either a Navy sailor or a fisherman.
Fishing vessels are restricted to certain grounds so as not to rile up the squild. (Though some try their luck) They use bright green flags on their vessels.
People who meet Gielle for the first time fall into two categories:
β’ "This is a spoiled brat." She's young and determined, but that tends to irk authorities.
β’ "This girl means trouble." Her stubbornness and determination can make her appear reckless.
A little biased as I adore the epic feeling of all of their songs, but "In the End" by 2WEI encapsulates that final turning point for SYMBIOTE: youtu.be/XtkCkMwmqVU?....
Perfect combination of lyrics and pounding bass.
One of my favorite scenes is the opening of book 2, where Gielle returns to Maris.
She, of course, has lived with the ocean her entire life. Jarian has never been near that much water, and he gets spectacularly sea sick. (Which she teases him about)
Gielle has a special bond with TiAna and LiKepa (MujaRi's mother and sister). And there's no better anthem than "Who Runs the World" by BeyoncΓ©: youtu.be/rhT3Gw4hZ3I?....
All three may be overlooked at times, but they know where the true score sides. π
I have way too many voices I adore to NOT have thought of this one. π
Idris Alba is MujaRi all the way.
Ashley Eckstein has always been Gielle's voice in my head.
And Jarian is Matt Damon for reasons I don't understand.
Obviously, most of the lyrics have nothing to do with my stories, but I can never resist sneaking "It's the End of the World As We Know It" by R.E.M. into playlists: youtu.be/Z0GFRcFm-aY?....
I may or may not hit my characters with a lot at once. π
Going with MujaRi for this one because he's a favorite side character.
And because I adore "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by Simple Minds: youtu.be/CdqoNKCCt7A?....
Definitely MujaRi's personal anthem throughout the series.
