82-80. First winning Pirates season since 2018. Griffin's leadoff homer set the tone in the 4-2 finale. What a way to close it out.

From the 9/28/1986 #Pittsburgh Press, an insane story on how #Pirates assistant trainer Dave Tumbas was ejected from a game OTD 1986:

Anyway, it was fun while it lasted. I will always be a fan. I love them too much. Hope we can keep that same energy going into next season, if there is one #LetsGoBucs

I’m also happy this team summited Mount .500 #LetsGoBucs

I’m glad this locked in the Pirates being better than the Cardinals for the season. Doesn’t happen often #LetsGoBucs

I do hope they sign a power hitting third baseman. That may be one of the biggest things they need #LetsGoBucs

At least they fought all the way to the end #LetsGoBucs

These were such a nice upgrade on the city connects. I hope they stay around next year #LetsGoBucs

Speaking of, let’s retire 21 across baseball for the all the humanitarian stuff Roberto Clemente did #LetsGoBucs

They will always be my favorite team though #LetsGoBucs

It’ll be a long winter without this team #LetsGoBucs

Like they were winning series against a lot of playoff teams #LetsGoBucs
