Not sure if intentional (probably not) but encountered an #IPv6 only guest Wi-Fi today. No IPv4 at all.
I don't say this to disparage anyone, I've run ISPs and it's a hard job needing a lot of attention to detail. What I wanted to highlight is that dual-stack definitely masks broken behavior. If a large amount of my work wasn't IPv6-only, I probably would have missed that #IPv6 didn't come back. 2/3
On Friday my fiber provider / ISP had an unscheduled outage. They've been extremely stable in the 5 years I have had them. When the service returned after about 10 minutes, #IPv6 didn't come back. It took myself and @netops2devops.net calling repeatedly to get this addressed. 1/3
It has been __0__ days since I had to fix a networking issue by disabling IPv6. In 2026. 🙄
Measured across cl0q's own crawl, the median web page responds in 296ms and runs 356 words. Only 32.2% of sites are reachable over IPv6, which feels low for 2026. The v6 migration is moving slower than we'd like to admit. cl0q.com/explore #WebDev #IPv6

systemd-networkd lets you run static IPv6 and RFC 7217 stable-privacy SLAAC on one interface. IPv6PrivacyExtensions=kernel gives stable, non-MAC-linkable IIDs.

Today I saw a post on Hackaday about "UDP broadcasting" and #IPv6. Only that it barely touched upon UDP or broadcasting, and mostly served to reinforce long-dead or never-true assumptions that devs tend to have #IPv6.

🌐 Exoscale Network Load Balancers now support IPv6 — via Portal & CLI. Same features as IPv4, ~40% cheaper with free Elastic IPv6 addresses. Instance Pools must be dual-stack.
Yay! @A1Slovenija #IPv6 prefixes are back in the global routing table! a1-ipv6.pages.dev/
