#illini Bret Bielema: Michael Clayton has a super explosive arm. In my opinion, one of the most dynamic arms as a quarterback that I've recruited. I knew when his chance came, I knew Barry wouldn't hold back because he knows he has a gunslinger.

#illini Bret Bielema: Sometimes, everybody just needs one play. Xavier Scott made a super high-IQ play. Xavier saw that thing coming the whole way and blew it up.

#illini Bret Bielema: Katin Houser broke something in his hand. Don't know if it's season-ending, but he'll be out for a considerable amount of time.

#illini Bret Bielema: I've never seen a review come and go back and come again.

Super excited for our kids, put in a lot of work. To have Michael answer the challenge the way he did was absolutely awesome.

I on the Illini Postgame Show with Mike Cagley & Brad Sturdy up at 6:55 pm.

#Illini hang on 38-37 after a failed Michigan State two-point conversion in overtime

FINAL: #illini 38, Michigan State 37

Xavier Scott blows up the Philly special. Illinois shows the resilience of a Bret Bielema team in an ugly one.

END OF REGULATION: Michigan State 31, #illini 31

Daniel Brown sack ends regulation. MSU has all the momentum after outscoring Illinois 24-8 in the final 18 minutes of regulation and Illinois relying on a backup QB.

Michigan State scores for a fifth time in six drives and have outscored Illinois 21-7 over the last 15 minutes to tie it up.

Michigan State 31, #illini 31; 1:17 left 4Q.

MSU has three timeouts, so Illinois can't just sit on it and go to OT if they wanted.

#illini force a fumble inside the 5 but can't recover it. That was the chance.

How is there a magical new video that they didn’t review the FIRST time?? #Illini
