Headless Horseman Friday

Throwing in several eps of "Sleepy Hollow"--NOT shot anywhere in Westchester Co. but in the Carolinas, as the cemetery w/ copious "Spanish Moss" attests. But still pretty good stuff IMO, great horseman.

Starting off with a rather forgotten adaptation of Irving's story. Made for TV, it stars Jeff Goldblum & Meg Foster. Aired on NBC in 1980 & as a kid I thought it was awesome. Tame by today's standards! #nowwatching 🐴🎃

FEROCIOUS PLANET (2011) cheesy as hell, but I admit that I miss the old Syfy original films.

Singular entry in the real graveyards in horror list. To The Devil a Daughter was Hammer's last horror film & their next to last film in the 20th century. It features the Dashwood Mausoluem in Buckinghamshire, near the Hell Fire caves.

The all-important funeral moment in 'The Haunting of Hill House' was shot in Atlanta's Greenwood Cemetery (BTW, I am a Georgian, this is an historic spot that needs some LUV!) #nowwatching Eulogy

Keeping it French w/ a Jean Rollin film from 1973 Requiem For a Vampire [Requiem pour un vampire]. The village graveyard at Le Mesnil-Conteville served as a shooting location. VERY creepy stuff 💀

Not all the episodic stuff I have picked out for today is well known tv, this is from a fascinating French language vlog called 'Curi0sity.' The L'ange Noir Maudit ep deals w/ a grave statue in the Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City.

Hamilton was also used in Guillermo del Toro's 2015 gothic nightmare Crimson Peak.
