This may not look like #FootpathFriday but that sidewalk is literally the Appalachian Trail in Harpers Ferry WV.

This image captures a serene, sun-dappled forest trail. The path, made of dirt and scattered with small rocks, winds gently through the lush greenery. A somewhat cluttered view (as there was no one 'perfect' angle to capture the intent) of a short, maybe 15 feet long or so, stone bridge running over a creek filled with moss-covered stones, hiding behind some bushy trees, and blending in remarkably well with the shape & color of the boulders behind it. This bridge will be completely buried in ten feet of snow three months from now, and has been documented in that state before, but for now, it's here, comfortably adapted to its environment.

Wait a second... I don't think this tree bridge goes *all* the way across the Lewis River.

A clear shallow river as seen from the bank. A downed tree extends from the shoreline and ends just beyond a large rock in the river on which it rests. The 2D illusion makes it look like it might end on the other bank but one would walk right off the plank into the water
