Kommt gut ins Wochenende. 🙂

Mittig im Bild steht ein beleuchteter Flutlichtmast, in der Mitte von Bild sieht man einen Weg welcher zu beiden Seiten von Kunstrasenplätzen begrenzt wird. Hinter dem Mast sieht man Bäume, dahinter große Fangzäune und ein eingerüstetes Gebäude. Der Himmel ist nachtschwarz.

Is there an English word for ‚Kreuzschatten‘? That‘s the one thing I miss most in modern stadiums.

„Floodlights, their pylons increasingly usurped by bulbs fixed to new stands' roofs, were frequently mourned. In late 1991, Dave Rowley regretted 'the passing of Wolves' greatest asset - The Molineux Floodlights'. He also highlighted the practical implications of clubs' pylon destruction; how else would away supporters locate grounds in the dark?
The following September, Quincy Wagstaff of Bristol City fanzine Bounty Hunter cooed and sighed over Ashton Gate's foodlights. Their dismissal was a 'wanton, mindless act of vandal-ism...We just cannot come to terms with the fact that those four mighty, majestic towers of glory, splendour and, um, electricity, are simply no longer there? When approaching the ground, the lights' absence created an 'overwhelming' sense of 'emptiness and loss'.
For a night match, 'The great sheets of light that those four soaring towers of steel threw down onto the ground took your breath away. Now, Ashton Gate melted in with the rest of the skyline…“
