At 02:30 BST this morning, a sporadic meteor reached magnitude β6.0, travelling at ~23.5 km/s.
Its calculated atmospheric track was an incredible 93 km, from ~112 km altitude over the Irish Sea to ~45 km over North Wales.

At 04:14 BST, a September Ξ΅-Perseid meteor flashed through the atmosphere at ~65 km/s, reaching magnitude β5.2.
Its ~8 km-long luminous track was recorded by two UK Meteor Network stations. π

Travelling at ~67 km/s, it reached an estimated magnitude of β4.2 and produced a ~13.8 km atmospheric track.
