People We Meet on Vacation is unfortunately going to be a #DNF for me. FMC feels weirdly obsessed with her friend and.. I’m not sure it’s the vibe I’m wanting rn

Ever DNF a series bc of an ick? I loved the first one, thought the second one was interesting, but the third one? WTF. If an author ever says “girls hit their sexual maturity at 13.” In their work need their hard drives checked. Especially when they are to mate with a 70yo. #booktok #booksky #dnf

I learned a valuable lesson. I won’t fly in blind when it comes to books. Check those trigger warnings! #TriggerWarnings #DNF #ConnorsClaim #DarkRomance #Booksky

#Update on my #Fedora #Workstation and got this #error after reboot:

Failed to update 0 packages
Cannot load libdnf plugin enabled from: /etc/dnf/libdnf5-plugins/00-systemd-inhibit.conf

The solution is to open the terminal and use #dnf to reinstall the plasma-discover package and reboot. All […]

Three tries and I’m done. #DNF

I know a lot of people loved this book so much. Can you tell me what I’m missing?

When you make editorial choices around DNF triggers you are considering your audience retention for your novel. A novel that has a high ratio of DNF is likely to have 'too much' of some issue in the novel.

You want readers to finish and recommend your novel.

A writer that is a survivor may not be able to fairly judge the intensity of their own prose around DNF topics.

Always go to BETA readers to see what they say. Do not tell them about known trigger DNF. Ask them if they thing a trigger warning is needed (as a general request)

I returned When the Moon Hatched by S. A. Parker without finishing it. 🙈
Honestly, I was lost & couldn’t keep track of who was who or how the characters were connected.
Maybe I’ll give it another chance someday — but next time, I’m reading it, not listening to it. 😅 #BookSky #Bookish #DNF
