These are the remains of a project I only got halfway through before giving up: my own doomsday #cyberdeck:

Pelican case, UPS, Din rail power and switch, Cradlepoint LTE router, $400 Proxicast GPS/LTE/WIFI antenna, LCD panel and a Mini PC. Sadly I don't see myself continuing the build. 🥺

So perhaps it's time to make an actual PCB for the #Cyberdeck. I'm too chicken to duplicate the PowerBoost 1000C layout and just leave it as a secondary board that plugs into this one I'm designing. Got some circuitry for a soft-latching power button too. I was writing keyboard firmware for the....

I have to wonder why #GForth is no longer in the regular #Debian repositories since Bookworm/Trixie. I've been trying to learn #Forth and it would be nice if it were on the #Cyberdeck. I had to add a third party repo for it.

It seems that I didn't have to rewire the #Arduino shield to make an SRAM tester, as the SRAM pinouts were close enough to the flash chips so it was all done in software. Now it looks like an old-fashioned PC BIOS power-on self-test. #Cyberdeck is acting as a serial console. #electronics

So I got an APS6404 PSRAM chip and tested it with my #BusPirate (yeah it has the Straw Hat sticker). The #cyberdeck runs this thing. It seems to work just fine
