It reached its structural limit and broke exactly where it had to break, and something that had been sealed inside finally had a way out. Breath doesn’t move through unbroken walls. It only moves through openings.

The wound feels like proof that something failed, that the self wasn’t strong enough, that weakness has finally been exposed. But look closer at what actually happened. The ego didn’t fail.
