whatever #calm I managed
slipped through my fingers
like water
until I was drowning

Words hang in the air not wanting to be collected because the finality of their meaning is too much to accept and a burden too heavy to bear. Eyes close trying to clear the mind as accompanying deep breaths bring a sense of #calm like a warm breeze on a cloudless day.

Martha watched him leave and then inched back towards the door he'd exited from. She seemed #calm on the surface but her short staggered steps told Amy that she was nervous.

"Thanks for all your help, I need to go too," Amy called after her, already heading for the exit. #vss365 #writing

There was nothing before.
No perception, no conception.
Darkness, silence,
the blankest of slates.
A state of pure existence,
energy waiting to be
set in motion,
potentiality,
the #calm before
the cosmic storm.
Yet within this void was
all there ever would be.

visual works of art
crafted beyond the speed of light

where an accommodating universe
comprehends creative insight

earning all a place in a humble sky
where a lulling #calm
shall grant them an eternal place

Lily,
She was
All skin

Dancing at
The Oak trunks
Of Landican trees

Ash,
Found her
Calmy huming,
Between
Her fingers
The branches
Began strumming

Her
Bare legs
Kept
Wondering
Round,

A child,
From
A Dragons
Sphere...

Ash,
Filled with
The hope
Of a
Mother's tears

Single look challenges all
And she has you all

There he is. I don't like him, he and his #calm demeanour. I'm sure he's hiding something. I don't trust him.

"Ah, Stephens! Pleased to see you again!"

Appearances are everything. But I still don't like him. Cannot be trusted, I'm sure of it.

Title: Bad News

Inhale
5 Seconds

Eyes closed
Static eyelids

Hold
5 Seconds

Rain on window
Neighbour's phone

Exhale
5 Seconds

Chin on chest
Collar tight

Hold
5 Seconds

Hand to
Chest

Inhale

Heart
Slowing

Hold

Open
Eyes

Exhale

I look her in the eye

Inhale

Smile

Through the
Mersey tunnel
Gates

Greeting
The daylight
And Crow
At the belly
Of a
Highway
Carcus fox

A memory,
Calmy began
To drop

Today,
His heart
Had to stop

Lily,
They gather
At Landican gates

They,
Can no longer
Wait
