Report has revealed that reduced touring by UK #musicians, following the UK’s exit from the EU, can be linked to #losses of an estimated £1.04 billion in gross value added across EU countries buff.ly/dIhMR1z #music #Brexit

A decade of overlapping political, economic, and global crises has triggered a lasting deterioration in the UK's mental health, leaving millions unable to work.

Many folk who voted #Brexit were poor working class folk, who left school at 16, didn't get university entrance school A levels & Highers. That's the cross roads of life.
They could be older or younger.
Working class folk vote less, than university educated middle class folk, who also voted for #EU

And the reality is ~1,000,000 Scots voted for #Brexit too.
Does that make them 'xenophobic Little Englanderism' too?

Treating #Brexit as history ignores our reality today. 📉
In the Sunderland Echo 📰, YouGov data shows Britons view Brexit as a failure by 6 to 1—with 64% of Leave voters wanting closer EU ties.
There IS support to move on, but we can't pretend it's done!

A scanned clipping of a published letter to the editor in the Sunderland Echo on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, headlined "Consign Brexit to history". A prominent red pull-quote on the right reads: "Mr Burghart insists we cannot blame Britain's economic woes on 'a democratic vote from a decade ago'".
The letter welcomes Prime Minister Andy Burnham's comments exploring the option to rejoin the EU, while criticizing Conservative deputy leader Alex Burghart for claiming economic woes cannot be blamed on a vote from a decade ago. The author argues that the British economy still suffers today from the hardline Brexit settlement imposed by Eurosceptic extremists, and that leaders serious about growth cannot ignore self-inflicted harm that could readily be remedied.
The text details YouGov's tracker (Sept 24–25), showing Britons view Brexit as a failure over a success by more than six to one (63% to 10%). It highlights that 71% of Conservatives and 64% of 2016 Leave voters now favour closer European ties, with nearly a quarter of Leave voters (24%) and 29% of Conservatives supporting rejoining outright.
Pointing out Mr Burghart's past support for pragmatic EU compromises like the Windsor Framework and Horizon Europe, the letter concludes that with 85% of Labour voters backing a return, the government has clear public mandate to consign Brexit damage to the history books

Very sad news.

#UKICE has been an essential source for making sense of post #brexit law & politics in the UK & beyond.

Well-informed, accessible high-quality research which is so sorely needed in these times.

Hats off to Anand Menon & his great team for their massive achievement.

Really sad to hear this Anand and thanks for all the excellent work on #brexit you have done throughout the years, you will be sorely missed!

This 👇 is a disgraceful headline. The Tories destroyed the economy and the freedoms we used to enjoy. They made us all approximately 30% poorer than before #Brexit.
The Tories are only team players when they can run the team to their own advantage.
Not team players at all, in fact!

The UK and Germany were leaders in the EU, being in the EU made the UK proud and prosperous. The #BREXIT was pushed across the finish line by lies, racism & scapegoating immigrants. #BREXIT continue to be a big drag on the UK economy and needs to end.
