Caelin (left) and Rowyn, from my book series, Echoes of the Past

book 2 is at 84k words, with no end in sight (I joke, maybe 40-50k away lol) we'll see what it ends up being after revisions, though

I’ve illustrated a whole book based on Stephen King’s Apt Pupil.
📖 It’s dark, intense, and was an absolute blast to work on. @stephenking.bsky.social 👀🪞🫀

Day 4: Cactus
Depicted here is a cactus coreid nymph, also commonly known as the cactus bug. They live and feed on prickly pears.

What if I dropped the most insane MMC art commission right now instead of waiting for a prompt to debut it?? That would be chic right???

Anyway, leave your grievances in the comments 🥀

And it’s finished! Maren can’t touch Kye. A contact with his skin turns any object or person to glass. They can’t hold hands, but they can use a bead string to keep them together. 🩵

Day 2: Relic
My reference was a grave a found in the midst of London. It was so calm in the graveyard only a few meters from the bustling streets. The ground was carpeted with white flowers, birds sang and squirrels were scampering about.

While creating In The Mare all the artwork was done at different times in the process, nothing was linear and there was no thought about placement other than the inspiration derived from writing and creating the album. #booksky #art #writersofbluesky #bookart #literaryfiction
