@cody-hansel.bsky.socialThis game is sick

@gottagetgeek.bsky.socialDoes Belmont’s Curse ACTUALLY feel like Castlevania? I just played the Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse demo, and something clicked.
Let me know what you think in the comments!

@tierradegamers.bsky.social¡Soy fan de Metroidvanias, pero nunca acabé un Castlevania! 🤯 ¿Será #BelmontsCurse la excepción? Mis primeras impresiones de la demo te sorprenderán. 🦇⚔️

@mjweise.bsky.social#BelmontsCurse seems great--and I will play the final version--but that's precisely why this particular story detail sticks in my craw. I mean, maybe Sypha will show up as a ghost to mentor Rose, Jedi-style. That would be better than nothing, but God...
...I am just so sick of this fucking trope.
@mjweise.bsky.socialI like witches, and I love Sypha. She was far and away the coolest thing about the #Castlevania show, which was the first time anyone seemed to know what to do with the game's lore in an insightful way. I love that #BelmontsCurse is building on that, but does it have to do so by killing her?
@mjweise.bsky.social#BelmontsCurse demo impressions:
Wonderful game-feel. Perfect protagonist. Visuals that are liquid beauty. Everything I want in a #Castlevania game, except...
...fridging Sypha? No cool, folks. Not cool.
@leadhooves.bsky.socialTrying #BelmontsCurse demo on switch 2. Encountered a bug in the opening cutscene. The sound bugged out

@nshade666.bsky.socialAlright I’m sold,just pissed America isn’t getting that sweet steelbook Europe is getting (again). This feels like the best Castlevania I’ve played in decades,and that’s even with enjoying quite a few in that time between too.Great game
