As if …
Once again -
they’ve seen and
heard it all before.

The scarp enfolds
an echo of early
morning light.
Still we share
the world -
as we once knew it.
Summer’s heat
glows within -
Autumn’s embers.
Finding burnt
ochre in the
Neander Valley.
The rocks remember
all that’s been
and gone.
Weathering …
Several centuries
in succession.
Wind-bent tree -
watching over
ridge and furrow.
The field -
breathing
beneath the blue.
Words whiling
away the miles -
between the lines.
Half a world
away -
armchair explorer.
Rothko skies
and Seagram views
– holiday as art.
Each page
a petal -
speaking to her soul.
***
Each petal
a page -
opening to her soul.
