#Antivaxxers -- batshit crazy.

#Antivaxxers -- batshit crazy.
It’s not “ #vaccine hesitancy.”
It’s childish contrarianism stemming from ego, fashion, political tribalism and intellectual insecurity.
No matter how civil I was with #antivaxxers at my #science center, they got hostile and stormed off.
They don’t want to learn; just to win an argument.
Tries to pass off “experts would consider an estimate” that he makes up as a legitimate number of deaths from #vaccines.
This is why I compare #antivaxxers to sea anemones: both defecate out of the same orifice where they take in food.
If you believe vaccines are of the devil, I don’t want to see your ass in the ER.
You can’t pick and choose when you want to ‘lean into’ science.
Just sit back and let Jesus take the wheel and eventually this problem will take care of itself!
I think the next time I encounter an anti-vaxxer (highly unlikely, but I might) I'll ask them why they haven't demanded a Royal Commission into this outrageous corruption in our medical system.
It would be interesting to see what they say.
Oh yes.
When I reveal that I’ve been deaf in my right ear since age 4, because of a #measles infection before the more effective #MMR came available…
… #antivaxxers try and refute me by citing a 1960’s sitcom episode as “proof” that measles is a “harmless childhood disease.”
That’s like #antivaxxers who refute evidence for how dangerous #measles can be by citing a Brady Bunch episode in which one of the kids gets infected.
That’s their idea of “evidence.”
anti-vaxxers: vaccine is not FDA approved!
FDA: *approves vaccine*
anti-vaxxers: we'll take ivermectin instead, against all medical advice
FDA: stop taking ivermectin, u are stupid
anti-vaxxers: hmm, why horse dewormer makes me crap myself?
