I named the city Zhaaz because I needed something hissy, like something a snake person would say. What was meant to be a throwaway name stuck as the RP campaign lead there, and I solidified it with the lore about the first Queen Sezhaaza (mentioned yesterday)->

A painting of the beheading is proudly displayed in Zhaaz's throne room. While the lamia are peaceful now, it serves as a reminder to not mess with them.

The city of Zhaaz was build by the lamia, for the lamia, because they weren't welcome in human settlements. A handful of swamp villages banded together and what began as a trade hub quickly grew into a fort like city, grand enough to rival the (human) capital ->
