Y'all know that I love all 4 of our core four, but the one that stands out above the rest for me?
Gotta be my Edwin baby. 💙💀
To articulate why would take up way more characters than are allowed. 🥹 We're both "awkward" in a good way. 🫶 #SaveDeadBoyDetectives #AgencyAppreciation
Now, to answer the question!
No exaggeration; Charles Rowland's story changed my life. I won't get into it, and you guys don't need to hear the theatrics on my end (lol), but seriously. He's a part of my heart, and my healing journey, forever.
4/5 had on so many different people. In this crazy, wild, super natural story, the thing that perhaps makes it the most endearing is that it's deeply human. The characters, in their wide array of strengths and weaknesses, strike an
5/5 undeniable impact on viewers. Whether you relate to Charles, Edwin, Crystal, Niko, Monty, Jenny, The Cat King, etc. - there is something so beautiful in art that can make people feel seen.
I'll appreciate these characters forever.
2/5 such a short amount of time. I felt like, even with the abundant background we were shown and told, the writers intentionally set the groundwork to say, "Hey, there's still so much more than meets the eye, more to learn ahead."
1/5 As much as I go on and on about Charles, I will say that picking a favorite character in Dead Boy Detectives is genuinely a challenge. One of the things I love about the writing is how the characters feel so rich and detailed in
3/5 TLDR; the characters are why I fell in love with Dead Boy Detectives. The characters drew me in more and more with every episode.
The biggest reason I'm still passionate about this story is because of the impact the representation
Day 2 is here! Our beloved show has a fantastic core four, but which of them stands out above the others to you?
Been thinking on this ALL DAY. 🤔
Every ep is incredible in its own way, but for Day 1 of #AgencyAppreciation, I'm gonna have to go with Ep 5 for the epiphanies discovered in it. 🥹💜💀
Plus, getting to see our boys in a high school was a special treat. 😅 #SaveDeadBoyDetectives
4/4 episode! His confrontation with the Night Nurse & subsequent breakdown is one of my favorite scenes in the whole show.
Episode 4 hits on a deeply personal level for me in many ways, and I will always think it's SO underrated!
3/4 and characters in a way I'd been eager for. It's quotable, devastating, hauntingly beautiful/picturesque, & exciting. Plus, I'd be remiss not to acknowledge that we finally learn pivotal information about who Charles is in this
2/4 Lighthouse Leapers is such a "Point of no return" in the show; it acts as a perfect midway point that answers several questions while presenting even deeper ones to explore moving forward. I feel like ep 4 enriches the DBD universe
1/4 Happy #AgencyAppreciation Day 1!!
My favorite episode of Dead Boy Detectives (aside from ep 7 - because tbh it's not even fair to include the one that's on a different level from any show ever lol) is ep 4, "The Case of the Lighthouse Leapers"
And so we begin! With eight incredible episodes, we know picking a favorite may be hard. But, do your best and tell us why you love it!
And don't worry if you forget, we'll be posting the prompts as they come!
