Day 139 of the 365 Day Film Challenge.
Awakenings. Robin Williams brilliant here in a dramatic role, and the chemistry with Julie Kavner just lovely.

Day 137 of the 365 Day Film Challenge.
Paper Moon. Tatum O'Neill breathtaking in this. But posting for Madeline Kahn who was iridescent in everything she was in. Stole every scene.
Day 136 of the 365 Day Film Challenge.
Before James Woods lost the plot. Fantastic film. Jim Belushi also putting in his best work here.
Day 135 of the 365 Day Film Challenge.
For the great Denholm Elliott.
Day 133 of the 365 Day Film Challenge.
Salt. Angelina Jolie really very good in this.
Day 132 of the 365 Day Film Challenge.
For John Candy, a thoroughly decent man, much missed.
Day 131 of the 365 Day Film Challenge.
Continuing the aviation theme. A surprisingly good wee action film starring the ever brilliant Big Gerard. Love the fact he's just living his best life!
Day 130 of the 365 Day Film Challenge.
There are probably lots of Denzel Washington's performances considered better than this, but I think his character portrayal here is exceptional.
Day 129 of the 365 Day Film Challenge
Watched Outbreak yesterday, great cast, bit clunky. So I moved on to Contagion. Way better, some really good performances. Jude Law great. Scary portrayal of how misinformation spreads so easily.
Day 128 of the 365 Day Film Challenge
Gladiator. Obviously for the stonking monologue by Russell Crowe. And to embarrass the makers of Gladiator 2. What were you thinking about guys? Shockingly shit movie.
Anyway, Gladiator, bloody awesome.
Day 127 of the 365 Day Film Challenge
Follow it up with this.
Day 126 of the 365 Day Film Challenge
Love this version, particularly because kids in school love it and it gives such a good interpretation for them studying Shakespeare.
John Leguizamo and Harold Perrineau brilliant as Tybalt and Mercutio.
Day 125 of the 365 Day Film Challenge.
I watched The Big Red One yesterday after years, and personal opinion, don't think it has aged well at all, very clunky. So I'll pick Paint Your Wagon instead, in honour of Lee Marvin.
Day 124 of the 365 Day Film Challenge.
I normally don't much like Bill Murray, can't put my finger on why. But this film is lovely. Made even better by Melissa McCarthy.
Day 123 of the 365 Day Film Challenge
The Departed
I remember being utterly shocked towards the end of the film, first time I watched it. Brilliant cinema.
Day 122 of the 365 Day Film Challenge.
Oblivion.
Tom Cruise takes a fair amount of flack, but he does have a goodly amount of pretty darn good films. This is one I like.
Day 120 of the 365 Day Film Challenge
Can't believe how old this film is. Colin Farrell showing what a great actor he would become.
